I’m leading, with collaborator Sarah Wambold, a nationwide study into the motivation of visitors to museum websites. As of this writing we have 22 participating institutions, including representatives in Canada and Australia. The VMS on the website of the Menil Collection Background Google Analytics is a powerful tool in understanding traffic to a website, but site statistics alone do not always tell the full story. Touchscreen interactive for the Chinese American Museum Los Angeles

The main view of the interactive presents a map of the world. I recently had the opportunity to again collaborate with the Chinese American Museum on an interactive touchscreen in-gallery kiosk. The piece is part of the exhibition Tales of the Distant Past: The Story of Hong Kong and the Chinese Diaspora and illustrates the Chinese diaspora around the world. Read more

HBO’s The Leftovers filmed at 103 S. Main Street

103 S. Main St., Lockhart TX dressed as Miracle Gifts From May to October 2015 my building was leased by the Warner Brothers team producing season two of HBO’s The Leftovers. Thanks to their their skilled application of movie magic, the City of Lockhart’s historic district portrayed the fictional town of Jarden and my building, 103 South Main, was transformed into “Miracle Gifts.” Read more

Clockshop homepage Clockshop is an arts organization in Los Angeles, working “at the intersection of politics, urban space, and cultural production to explore the forces that shape our lived environment.” They do a lot of site-specific programming involving locations and communities in the city.
